In-Class Presentations: User Data Collection

In pairs, present your research about the use of user data when developing software during class in a short talk (no more than 5 minutes):

1. Personally Identifiable Information (PII), FERPA, SOPIPA, and GDPR Compliance
2. Data Transparency and Minimization
3. Data Equity, Inclusivity, Assumptions
4. Data Storage (local versus cloud) and Retention
5. Data Interoperability and Security
6. Data Anonymization and that it may be impossible
   

Submitting your Work

Add your presentation materials (such as slides or notes) to the shared class notes repository's data_collection folder.

You can either clone the repository and push your files or upload them through the website when you are ready.

Specifications

Developers of EdTech must be mindful of many data-related concerns to ensure privacy, security, and (international) legal compliance. Keeping these in mind can keep your good idea from being viewed as:

• surveillance
• exploitative
• mental health stressor

You may use any resource you want for your review, but you must cite it in your presentation or README (as appropriate).
