the guys at oit are apparently working on this. the problem is that
properly installing jdk 1.2 apparently requires some kernel patches, which
is not something you can just install like normal...
in duke.computing, there was a recent announcement of acpub being down for
upgrades and maintenance this sunday morning (midnight to 5am, i think),
which i'm hoping may include setting up jdk 1.2, though i have no real
support for this hope...
