Why do we need probabilities?
- laziness
- theoretical ignorance
- practical ignorance
Probability is degree of belief:
- things are still true or not (like logic) but we don't always know
precisely which.
``80% chance of rain'' essentially means that in 80 out of 100
situations just like this one, it has rained.
Probabilities change as evidence is acquired.
