Section A:
Introduction to HyperWag

Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of HyperWAG, the world's fastest and easiest Week-At-a-Glance schedule organizer. This part of the manual covers the basic operation of HyperWAG, including creating new schedule files, edititng appointments, and viewing the schedule in HTML or text format.

1. How HyperWAG works
HyperWAG uses an intuitive menu interface to create, edit, view and save your schedules. To start from scratch and create a new schedule, simply type

hyperwag

at the command line and you will enter the main menu. Alternatively, if you want to start with a previously created file, you can type

hyperwag filename.wag

at the command line, where filename.wag is the name of the saved file. This will take you directly to the Edit menu, which is explained below.

2. Creating a new schedule
To create a new schedule from scratch, press 1 at the Main menu. This will take you to the Edit menu, where all of the schedule editing actually takes place. Since you are creating a new schedule, you will be prompted to add a new appointment.

You may now continue to add more appointments by pressing Y or finish the schedule and return to the main menu by pressing N.

3. Editing an existing schedule
To edit the schedule you currently have open, press 2 at the Main menu to jump to the Edit menu. This is where you will start if you entered the name of a file at the command line. You will be presented with options to add new appointments, edit existing appointments, or delete appointments.

4. Saving a schedule to disk
To edit the schedule you currently have open, press 3 at the Main menu. Type the name of the file you want to save to and press enter. The filename should end in .wag; if you do not type an extension, it will be added automatically.

5. Viewing a formatted schedule
To view the schedule you currently have open, you must first generate an HTML file by pressing 4 at the Main menu. This will save your schedule in HTML format as filename.html, where filename is the name of the original schedule file. You can then open this file in your web browser to view the hypertable, including any customized fonts and hyperlinks you have included.
