Computer Science Extra Credit


Whether in lecture or lab
You can count on Professor Rodger being fab

But as a student in 101
There is always much work to be done

The road to success is never easy
And every time APTs are released I feel queasy

Just reading the prompt and I have a headache
So naturally I must take a break

Three chocolate chip cookies later
I’m on the phone of a takeout restaurant speaking to the waiter

Now I’ve gone to the TA and understand the question
But not knowing where to start I think I’ll never be done

I try making for loops, if statements, dictionaries and sets,
But the E-tester still shows red and people start to bet

Now I’ve tried something new
Fixed a syntax error or two

Suddenly it looks like there might be hope
And computer science is totally dope

But still a red box remains
And to me existence it is the bane 

Yet I muster the energy to power through
And I try something new

I nervously check E-tester wondering if it could be
That only green boxes I would see

My eyes are delighted at the beautiful sight
I’m so happy I dance all night!
