How To Think Like a Computer Scientist - Learning with Python: Interactive Edition 2.0 by Jeffrey Elkner, Allen B. Downey, and Chris Meyer

Note the book is free but use the code on Sakai when you get an account for the book. The code is under the announcements on Sakai (one of the first announcements for the course).

Note: You do not need to do the exercise sections at the end of the chapters. But you should do the questions and little exercises that are integrated into the reading.
