"When You Get All Green"

Up late at night working on APTs
hoping I’ll understand them all,
and finish with ease.

It’s midnight now, gotta submit before 2
I’m lost and confused,
oh what can I do?

I think I have it done, but instead,
the worst thing happens-
I get all red.

It’s funny how getting all red
can leave one feeling so blue,
and full of dread.

Although my hopes were diminished,
I still keep on trying
and think I have finally finished.

My eyes are focused on the screen,
staring at the APT tester,
praying and hoping for all green.

My screen fills up with green blocks,
making me so excited,
I jump out of my socks.

Goodbye Compsci 101,
I’ll miss you next semester,
It’s been fun.
