Green Poem

CompSci 101 is so fun all my friends told me,
And when I enrolled during registration, 
I did so with glee.
But now as the clock ticks towards 2 AM and the red tiles taunt me,
I curse all those friends and this darn APT

I take a deep breath and think back to class,
And what Professor Rodger said about how to pass,
Wait there was an example similar to this,
I think it used a dictionary, but with a twist!

I frantically alter my code in eclipse,
I test it but there’s red, it’s a miss!
I scroll through but can’t find the bug in sight,
I want to give up,
I’m Gatsby, longing for his green light.

I shift my laptop over to a friend to help me
Oh he says after a look,
It’s simple you see,
You forgot a return statement!
I’m shook.

I update my code and test it 
Holding my breath I hit submit
All I see is green green green everywhere
I collapse with joy,
It’s lit.
