Computer Science 101

My parents are bad with computers, so coding is not in my genes.
And I never imagined the satisfaction that could come from staring at screens.
But they were glad I took an intro course; it even gave them a thrill.
For some weird reason, they didn’t believe in philosophy paying the bills.

From lists and loops to recursion and regex 
The functions we wrote became more complex.
Years down the road I’ll forget the readings, assignments, and even this rhyme 
But I will remember the problem-solving strategies for a lifetime.

While I won’t be taking another course in CS,
There is one final topic I want to address:
If you asked me to score this class like the APTs,
Undoubtedly, repeatedly I would give it all greens.
