To prepare you for your first team project, work on the following exercises in your Cell Society teams:
- Introduce yourselves to each other by sharing:
- where you are from and how you are experiencing school this semester
- your motivation/interest in this course
- your knowledge/interest in simulations or other software tools for visualizing data or science
- areas of the project you interested in or concerned about
- Discuss each person's team experiences and expectations
- share good and bad past team experiences and what you learned from them
- share social preferences and styles regarding expectations, communication, and debating issues
- share technical preferences regarding internal project deadlines, general design goals, and a GIT workflow
- go over the Team Contract and submit the form individually
- choose a time for the next team meeting
- Share your ideas for the project and start planning your project
- clone the shared team repository to your machine and import the project into IntelliJ
- add the names and NetIDs of everyone present to the top of the
doc/LAB_DESIGN.md
file before adding notes about your discussions
- discuss what part of the project each person wants to start on this week(end)
Submission
By the end of lab, submit the Team Contract Google form and push
your discussion summary to the doc
folder of the master
branch of your team's provided Gitlab repository using the commit message "lab_plan - participating NETIDs".
If you are want immediate feedback, present your project CRC Cards and Use Cases to a UTA.
