CS101 Word Game: Basket of Letters

Brief Description

You get a basket of random letters. Your goal is to make as many real English words as possible using only those letters. Each valid word gives you points equal to its length.

Settings

Before the game starts, you choose:

• Basket size: How many letters you get (5–7).
• Turns: How many chances you get to play (3–10).
• Minimum word length: The smallest allowed word (3–5 letters).

Rules of Play

You will see something like: Letters: aintor Type a real English word using only those letters. Each word can only be used once. You earn points equal to the number of letters in your word. Type quit to end the game early. The game ends when you run out of turns or type quit. Your final score is shown at the end.
