Brief Description

Wordle is a straightforward game where your only goal is to identify a single mystery five-letter word. You enter different five-letter words as guesses, and the game immediately gives you feedback to let you know which letters you got right. You have a limited number of opportunities to use these clues to deduce the correct word.

Settings

Users can choose to have hints on what letters are included in the mystery from their guess, or they can choose to have no hints and only receive feedback on how many more guesses they have.

Rules of Play

To play, you type a valid five-letter word and press Enter. After each guess, the game provides feedback of O's and X's in the place of each letter in the order that you gave it to say whether or not those letters are in the mystery word. For example, if the mystery word is "crate", and the user guessed "cruel", it would return "OOXOX".
