Scientific Visualization Homework 1 Solutions

Overview:
In this homework you'll explore coordinate systems and
lighting both theoretically and practically.
Details:
Do the following problems from the end of Chapter 3 in VTK.
Submit this homework by January 23 by linking it from
your visualization web page
created in the first homework.
In order to do 3.4 & 3.5 you'll need to install VTK.
Installing VTK
was fairly simple for me. I used C++ and did not use any
of the wrapper classes (for which Java, Tcl, and other
languages can be used). The one thing you do need to
remember to do is tell cmake where VTK was installed
when it asks
What is the path where the file UseVTK.cmake can be found.
Everything worked for me just using the
default values. I suggest altering code from
VTK/Examples/Tutorial/Step1/Cxx/Cone.cxx
Also use the
documentation from the VTK site.
