Groups

Assigments will be submitted in pairs (groups of two), and projects will be done in pairs of pairs (groups of four). Pairs are expected to remain the same throughout the semester. Feel free to post on Ed to find a partner for assignments or to find another pair for the projects once they are given. Exceptions to group sizes will be made if necessary (e.g. if there are an odd number of students in the class).

Submission Procedure

Submissions must be in PDF format and be typeset with LaTeX or in a word processor (e.g. Word). Handwritten submissions will not be graded. No credit is given for late solutions.

Assignments will be submitted exclusively on Gradescope, accessed via the course's Sakai page, and projects will be submitted exclusively on Sakai (updated 9/27). When submitting to Gradescope, exactly ONE group member must submit by uploading the PDF then matching the pages to the assignment's problems; see here for detailed instructions. That submitting group member is then required to add their other member's names to the submission (either one or three others, excluding special cases); see here for detailed instructions.

No credit is given for late solutions.

Students will receive all homework grades and instructor feedback on Gradescope, and all project grades and instructor feedback will be provided on Sakai.

Collaboration Policy

For assignments, collaboration among students in different pairs is permitted, but every student MUST list each of your collaborators for each problem. The assignment questions may be similar to questions on problem sets from past offerings of this course or courses at other universities. Using any preexisting solutions from these or any other sources is strictly prohibited.

For projects, collaboration across groups is prohibited.
